Bryan Ruiz

Bryan Ruiz takes over as the head cross country and girls track and field coach for the 2022-23 school year.

Coach Ruiz brings 10 years of coaching experience with him to Boswell. He began his coaching career at Trinity Christian Academy in 2013 leading them to a first place finish at the TCAF State Meet in his first season. From there, he transitioned to Weatherford Christian School and before coming to Boswell was the Athletic Director and Head Cross Country Coach at High Point Academy in Fort Worth. At High Point, his boys cross country team were conference champions and were ranked No. 6 in Fort Worth.

Ruiz stays busy when he's not coaching and teaching. He and his wife Kyndra founded the Parker County Track club, which has grown to over 200 young athletes ages 5-18 from Parker and Tarrant Counties with a goal to build a love for training at a young age and to have the tools necessary to be successful in sports. He also serves as the Camp Director for the Metroplex Striders Cross Country Camp, teaching young athletes how to take control of their own training and give them the tools they need to be a successful distance runner.

Ruiz was a cross country, and distance track runner in high school and college. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees both in Kinesiology from Tarleton State University.

Bryan and Kyndra have two children; Carter and Harlow. Together they enjoy spending time at their lake house.
