Christina Rudiger

Coach Rudiger is beginning her 31st year in education and has 36 years of coaching experience. At Boswell, she is an assistant softball coach and volleyball coach helping lead her respective teams to the playoffs the last several years.

Born in Belleville, Illinois, and raised in Arlington, TX, she brings a holistic approach to her coaching knowing that positivity, discipline, work ethic, and resiliency are valuable lessons. "I've always believed that as an educator, I don't just teach about volleyball, I teach about life.” Coach Rudiger has coached and taught at several excellent schools, including Louisiana Tech and Texas Christian Universities and Willis, Keller Central, Kennedale and Brewer high schools.

As a player, Coach Rudiger has a legacy of excellence. She was an integral part of UT Arlington's historic 1989 volleyball squad that fought its way to the NCAA Division I Volleyball Final Four. During her four-year tenure from 1986-89, the outside hitter garnered second team All-America, first-team All-Southland Conference, NCAA all-South Regional Tournament, and NCAA Final Four All-Tournament team honors. She was also a member of the women's basketball team during her 5th year at UTA. The Mavs were SLC Champions all four of her years and in 2005 she was elected into the UTA Athletic Hall of Honor.

In her spare time, Coach Rudiger enjoys the outdoors and spends time with her dogs, cats, chickens, and sheep! She loves working in the yard and spending time with her family, including her awesome nieces and nephews.
