Jimmy Averitte
Coach Averitte has been coaching at Boswell since 2000. He has had a team or individual qualifiers at the state meet every year from 2001 to the present. The highest placing at the state meet as a team was 7th in 2007 and 2009. There have been four national team members. Coach Averitte was the 2003 Regional Coach of the Year,2005 Team Texas National Coach, 2015 Regional and State Coach of the Year. Coach Averitte has served as the Historian and Regional Technical Director for the Texas High School Gymnastics Coaches Association. Before coming to Boswell, Coach Averitte coached at Bedford Jr. High for three years. As a competitor, Coach Averitte competed for Boswell High School and was on the first team for Boswell to qualify to the state gymnastics meet.
After high school, Coach Averitte competed in the Texas Gymnastics Conference and the USA Gymnastics College Club division for three years. Coach Averitte is married and has two daughters.
