Carrie Stidham

Carrie Stidham returned to EMS ISD as the head softball coach in 2022. In her first season, she led the Lady Pioneers to an undefeated district title and a bi-district championship.

Coach Stidham has been in the softball world for over 40 years as a player, mentor, instructor, or coach. She played high school ball in Oklahoma and continued to play into college before starting her career as a teacher and coach.

Stidham started her education and coaching career in Fort Worth ISD where she served as the head softball, head cross country, and assistant basketball coach for seven years. Coach Stidham transitioned to the head swimming coach in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD at Saginaw High School for eight years before returning as the assistant softball coach to Hank Fulkerson at Saginaw. Stidham’s teams made the post-season in all sports she’s coached.

In 2015, she moved from the district to an administrative role but knew her passion was on the softball field and where she ultimately wanted to be. She has also coached in the travel ball arena for several years, while also providing private softball instruction.

When Coach Stidham is not traveling with her daughter to softball tournaments, she enjoys working in her yard, exercising, and watching movies, or reading a good book. She has two children, Kaleb and Alli, two grandkids, Jesse and Hays, and two cats and a corgi.
