Dana Hill

A native of Levelland, Texas, Coach Hill was a standout two-sport athlete in high school, winning state championships in both basketball and track. She continued her athletic career at the collegiate level, competing in both sports. As a former collegiate athlete, Hill understands the challenges and aspirations of student-athletes and is dedicated to mentoring young women, helping them succeed both academically and athletically.

Hill’s coaching career spans over two decades, beginning with 20 years at Lubbock ISD, where she coached volleyball, basketball, and track while also serving as the girls’ coordinator. She later joined Lubbock-Cooper High School as an assistant volleyball coach, refining her skills before earning a promotion to head coach. Her passion for player development and team dynamics fueled her success and left a lasting impact on the program.

As the head volleyball coach at Lubbock-Cooper, Hill transformed the Lady Pirates into a competitive force, leading them to two district championships and two regional tournament appearances, accomplishments the program had not achieved since 2012. She amassed an impressive 69-12 record during her tenure. Most recently, she served as the head coach at 6A Keller Central High School, where her team narrowly missed the 6A playoffs. Hill is eager to bring her experience and winning mentality to Boswell High School and continue building on its strong tradition.

Her coaching excellence has been recognized with numerous accolades, including 2022 District 5A Coach of the Year, 2022 THSCA 5A Region 1 District 4 Coach of the Year, 2023 Hub City Preps Coach of the Year, and 2023 Hub City Preps Coaching Staff of the Year.

Off the court, Coach Hill cherishes time with her family and is a devoted mother to Donavaughn, D’Leah, and D’Mya.
