The Pioneers' performance on Saturday was a bright spot in otherwise dreary conditions. Starting off on their back foot, the boys in blue trailed their visitors by 0-6 in the fourth, but grit and determination allowed for Boswell to tie up the game come the seventh via a single by Braylin Caston, a hit by a pitch, a triple by Xander Thacker, and an error in the field. At the bottom of the eighth, Moses Norris made a single that brought home his brother, Eli Norris, and tipped the Pioneers over the edge to take the win. Tyler Reyes commanded from the mound, surrendering zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and none, and Joe Deleon opened the game, striking out three and walking just one.
On Tuesday, April 21st, the Pioneers travel to Lake Ridge for the last doubleheader of the in-season.
