The Lady Pioneers ended off district play with a bang last Thursday in a stunning turnaround from their previous meeting with Lake Ridge. The girls in blue went into the matchup riding high from their five-game win streak and were eager to add a sixth notch to their belt. Strong offense in both the second and sixth innings brought home four and five runs respectively, stacking up the points to put Boswell ahead by a total of six at the end of the evening and finishing out the in-season with a 9-3 victory. Addy Watson led the charge at the plate, going 3-1 with 1 RBI, and Evelyn Manjarrez was close behind her with 2-3 and 1 RBI. Harley Malone stood strong in the circle with 1 IP, 3H, 3R, and 3ER, and watson came in to close out the night with 6IP, 0H, 0R, and 5 Ks.
Next up for the Lady Pioneers is a Bi-District Showdown against Keller, heading across the tracks to play on Saginaw's field on Wednesday and Thursday, April 22nd and 23rd.
