Back for the second game of the season, the Pioneers took to their home turf again Friday against the Paschal Panthers to deliver another decisive victory. The first half was a fierce fight of attrition, ending in a 7-7 draw when Chance Lassiter evened out the score. At the beginning of the third quarter, the offense exploded to life. Dju Dju Lords delivered perfect spirals to Lassiter and Kanyon Diaz for an additional two touchdowns. Lassiter amassed 261 all-purpose yards over the course of the evening and tallied four touchdowns for the boys in blue. Defensively, Boswell forced three total turnovers and both Barizio Flores Caden Price intercepted last-ditch passes by the Panthers on a fourth down. Maui Peters forced a fumble recovered by Ola Orebe, and Ken Perez performed strongly with 5/5 PAT's and four more touchbacks.
The Pioneers are on the road Friday, September 11th, for a fight against Flower Mound in their final non-district competition.
