Tuesday ended in another huge win for the Pioneers as they faced off against North Crowley. The evening started off incredible strong with a whopping eight runs in just the first inning! Mak Lerma and Jaxon Trammel both scored one with Bryce Thompson and Trent Prosperi bringing home a further two runs each, and two errors in the field allowed two more to run the circuit. Thompson then came back in the second for a single down the right field line, adding another run, and Coby McBride finished off the scoring for the Pioneers with one of his own, putting up double digits on the scoreboard before the halfway point.
On the defense, Johann Inante led from the mound with five strikeouts and zero walks, allowing no runs over the course of three innings. Moses Norris followed after him and continued the trend of zero-run ball, only allowing one hit but striking out three over two innings. Their stellar pitching, combined with no mistakes made out in the field, helped Boswell maintain their early lead and finish out the game by a handsome divide of 10-0.
The Pioneer head to North Crowley on Friday, April 11th, to finish out the series and look to repeat their performance.
