Boswell closed out the season last night, facing off against a formidable foe in the form of Southlake Carroll. It was a tough fight from start to finish as the boys in blue wrestled for control of the turf. Unfortunately, however, despite putting themselves on the board with a late-game touchdown, the Pioneers were unable to overcome their opponent. But they did not let this get them down, fighting tooth and nail against the Dragons until the last whistle. Offensively, the team was lead by Anthony Hummer, showing his Pioneer Pride with a gritty performance that earned Boswell a touchdown in the fourth quarter, and Isaiah Nash added the PAT for the Pioneers. Defensively, the boys in blue managed to force two turnovers, the second of which directly lead to a Pioneer TD. Joseph Mwamba and Simi Alo recovered two fumbled, the latter of whom returned the ball for over fifty yards.
The Pioneers send off their seniors with a season well fought. Great effort, gentlemen!
