Tuesday was a battle for the Lady Pioneers. Hosting Eaton as their opponent for the second time this season, the girls in blue were eager to reverse the results of their previous meeting. It was an explosive start on Eaton's part. The Lady Eagles managed to snag two consecutive victories in the first half of the evening, but not without heavy resistance from the defending home team. A strong defense translated into an even more successful offense for Boswell going into set three, as the Lady Pioneers pulled ahead with a narrow but decisive 25-22 win; however, the final matchup of the night unfortunately did not fall in their favor. Despite the razor-thin loss by only 4 points, the girls in blue fought to the very end and managed keep their opponents on their toes the entire night. Emily Brister led the offense with 11 kills, followed closely by Peyton Jackson with nine, Libero Alexa Cenotto anchored the defense with an impressive 35 digs.
Boswell takes to their home court one final time this season, taking on the Chargers of Central High School for a Friday Senior Night Celebration on October 16th.
