Last night in Newcom Gymnasium was a nail-biter for the Lady Pioneers! Facing off against North Crowley, the two teams were locked into an intense series of sets from the first serve. Both of Boswell's victories in rounds two and three were razor-thin, and the defeats they faced in rounds one and four were made no walk in the park for the visiting Lady Panthers. The game was taken into a tie-breaking final game to decide who would bring home the gold in this clash of titans, and after another pulse-pounding duel that had the audience on the edge of their seat, the girls in blue managed to outmaneuver their opponent and steal the win with a 15-12 final score. There were many standout performances made by each and every member of the Lady Pioneers team, including 14 and ten kills from senior Avery Cartwright and Jillian Smith respectively, sophomore setter Emma Stuhr tallying 22 assists and two service aces, and junior Maribel Longspaugh recording 16 digs and three service aces.
Friday, October 3rd, Boswell returns to their home court for a Pink Out games against Crowley High School.
