The Lady Pioneers fought tooth and nail against the visiting Mansfield Tuesday evening. From the first serve, it was fierce battle that tested the mettle of the teams on both sides of the net. Boswell mounted a strong defense, as well as a fervent offense that kept the Lady Tigers on their toes; however, their opponent managed to slip through the crack and garner enough points to put themselves over the top in the end. Sophomore Jillian Smith led the team with eight kills and a 0.500 hitting percentage for the night. Seniors Avery Cartwright and Abbey Munk both tallied five kills each while Evelyn Main and Carly Curtis led the defense with 21 digs and three service aces for the former and three solo blocks for the latter.
The girls in blue are traveling on Friday, October 24th, for a bout against North Crowley in their home territory.
