Despite the cloudy weather, the Lady Pioneers shone bright on the softball diamond on Friday, showing out in one of the best games of the season. From the first pitch, the girls in blue were a well-oiled machine that refused to let up, bulldozing through six innings and dominating every one of them. Aubrie Hernandez stood strong form the circle through the whole game, giving up only three hits while delivering seven strikeouts. From behind the plate, Boswell totaled 12 hits with Addy Watson going 3-4 with 1 RBI, Evelyn Manjarrez 3-4 with 1 RBI, Sam Cruz 3-4 with 3 RBIs, Maddie Blue 1-3 with 2 RBIs, and Sami Wright going 1-1. Through their combined efforts, the Lady Pioneers manages to rocket ahead of the competition and close out the match 12-2
The team are on the road Tuesday, March 31st, to cap off the month with their second meeting against Crowley.
