Boswell fought hard at the regional gymnastics meet last Tuesday and Wednesday, take on two days worth of challenging competition to show off the skills they've been honing throughout the season.
The boys started the bout off strong. Placing fifth as a team, Moises Hernandez lead the charge with a state qualification on floor and vault. Though this was a tough year for the Pioneers, their skills improves with each meet, and it was evident in their performance, according to head coach Jimmy Averitte.
The Lady Pioneers fared just as well, amassing a team score of 220.60 points and placing 3rd overall. Top finishes include fourth place for McKinley Camacho on Balance Beam and All-Around, and seventh place and tenth for Nevaeh Santiago on Floor and Vault respectively.
The qualifiers head on to the State meet in Odessa on Friday and Saturday, April 24th and 25th.
