Last Thursday, the Pioneers were back on their home diamond, hosting North Crowley for round two of their duel. The boys in blue were already riding high from a 13-2 victory on the Panthers' turf, so they were looking forward to the boost from a home field advantage. Out on defense, Casey Dalton helped set the tone for the day, throwing over a course of six innings and allowing three hits but zero runs for the visiting team. Noah Vasquez helped the Pioneers bring home the win at the plate, going 1-for-1 at bat and batting two of Boswell four runs in. Xander Thacker added to the tally with a single, and Colton Coursey kept North Crowley on edge after he stole two bases. Though the Panther's were a formidable opponent, the Pioneers pulled ahead in the end, sweeping the competition 4-0.
Friday, April 17th, the boys in blue are away at Weatherford to take on the Eagles in their second match.
