Thursday was a rough night for the Pioneers. coming back from their BYE Week, the boys in blue were eager to get back on the field and bring home some more wins for the season. Unfortunately, the Falcons with whom they sparred proved to be a formidable foe. Timbercreek dominated the first half of the game, pulling ahead 29-0 by halftime; however, the Pioneers weren't ready to give up so easy. Boswell proceeded to dig in their heels in the next half and began the pursuit of their opponents. The boys showed true grit as they battled back within striking distance of the Falcons, gaining a massive 21 point jump, but ultimately fell short by the final whistle. Isaiah Nash led the Pioneers in tackles, chalking up eight and a fumble that directly resulted in a second half TD. On the offensive side of the ball, Michael Brown hauled in a TD pass from Kanyon Diaz, rushing 99 yards on five reception. Dju Dju Lords ran and threw for over 200 combined yards, and Jace Richardson and Chance Lassiter accounted for the other Pioneer TDs
The Pioneers are back in action on Thursday, October 15th, to take the fight to the Eaton Eagles.
