After being on the road for seven games the Lady Pioneers were back at home for their second district matchup against the Lady Roos of Weatherford on Friday, Oct. 21. Before the game they recognized head coach Rafael Lopez who earned his 200th career win against North Crowley on Oct. 7. The Lady Pioneers fought hard against Weatherford and took the match to a competitive four sets. Set scores were 18-25, 26-24, 19-25, and 23-25. Madison Parrish led the team with 18 kills followed by Stephanie Gutierrez with 14 kills. Brianna Russell led the way for Boswell with 28 assists. Gutierrez, and Keoni Williams each had five blocks, while Camille Middleton led the Lady Pioneers with 23 digs.
The Lady Pioneers hold a 12-1 district record with the last district game and Senior Night on Tuesday, Oct. 25 versus Chisholm Trail at Newcom Gymnasium. Start time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
