The Pioneers had all cylinders firing on offense in their district opener on Tuesday, March 14. Berkeley Roddy took the win for the Pioneers. The pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out six. Mason Bell threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Boswell scored three runs in the fourth inning. Jordan DeHoyos, Cyler Moore and Mak Lerma all contributed in the big inning with RBIs. Boswell tallied one home run on the day with DeHoyos' homer in the same inning. The Pioneers racked up eight hits on the day. Chase Plowman and Wyatt Fielding each collected two hits to lead the Pioneers.

Boswell is 2-0 in district play after defeating Trinity on Friday, March 17 with a final score of 6-4. Boswell will travel to Paschal on Tuesday, March 21, and return home for game two of the series on Friday, March 24.
