Xander Thacker traveled to Abilene on Saturday, rounding out spring break and the Pioneer powerlifting season with one final push at the State meet. Competing in the 181 weight class of Division 1, Xander mad an excellent showing for the Pioneers by lifting an impressive amount of weight. There were three events all together; squat, bench, and deadlift. The lone competitor for the boys in blue stacked several hundred pounds on each, tying his PR on squat with 565, setting an new PR on bench with 330, and 485 on deadlift , all totaling a staggering 1,380 pounds for the day! Way to go, Xander!
