Still in action over the break, the Pioneers were on the diamond last Tuesday, hosting Crowley in their first of two games. From the onset, the boys in blue were a force to be reckoned with both out in the field and at the plate. Colton Coursey led the scoring charge for Boswell as he drove in five runs on two hits, tripled in inning three that brought home an additional three runs, and scored one point off a single in the second. Landon Granger spearheaded the defense from the mound, allowing only two hits and one run over five innings while striking out nine batters. The Pioneers' combined efforts saw them rocket past the competition and secure a handsome lead of ten points against their visiting opponents, ending off the afternoon with an 11-1 victory.
Boswell is back in play this Tuesday, March 24th, against Mansfield Legacy, away for round one.
