Boswell gymnastics teams competed in the annual Railroad Rumble at Saginaw High School on Wednesday, Feb. 8. The Lady Pioneers placed first with a 107.95 team score. Allyncia Williams was the All-Around champion with first place finishes on Balance Beam and Floor, third on Vault, and fourth on Bars. McKinley Camacho was first on Vault, sixth on Bars and Balance Beam, and fourth in the All-Around. Dian Palmer took second on Vault and third on Bars, and fifth on the Floor event. Nevaeh Santiago placed second on the Balance Beam. Gia Velez earned fourth on Balance Beam and Emma Winchell took sixth on the Balance Beam. Savannah Kirkley was fifth on Floor.
The boys team had a great time and earned their second-highest score of the season. The team placed third overall. Top finishes for the Pioneers included Tanner Snyder first on Vault, third on Floor, sixth in the All-Around, and ninth on Horizontal Bar. Tyler Snyder was eighth on Floor, ninth on Vault, 10th on Rings, and seventh in All-Around. Danny Martin placed fifth in the All-Around with events finishes of sixth on Horizontal Bar, eighth on Rings, ninth on Vault, and 10th on Floor and Pommel Horse. Beckett Willis came in 10th in the All-Around.
Boswell will host their Alumni Meet/Milan Invitational on Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. They will then travel to Rockwall on March 2 before competing at the District Championships on March 30-31 at Chisholm Trail High School.
