Day two of the district tournament had some nail-biting moments, but at the end of the day, the Pioneers qualified an individual or team in every division for the regional tournament. Both the girls and boys teams clinched the district championship title. Will Dunson is the district champion in Boys Singles. while Yaddimar Ramirez is the district champion in Girls Singles. The Pioneers also earned first place in Boys Doubles with partners Ryan Rosalin and Zach Baker. Naima Ghnaim and Asia Phanmaha-Lanier were runners-up in Girls Doubles and Colin McGinn and Kameron Shipp were runners-up in Mixed Doubles. Kyle Parker and Makayla Ladd are regional alternates in Mixed Doubles.
The regional tournament will take place on April 11-12 at the McKinney Tennis Center. Good luck Pioneers!
