Thursday was a sweep, but no easy one, for the Lady Pioneers. Going up against all three of their sister schools, the girls were able to pull comfortably ahead of the Saginaw Rough Riders at 36-18 and the Eagle Mountain Knights at 42-0, with Rose Kimball, Blythe Cadenhead, and Andrea Monsalud all pinning their opponents in their showdowns with the latter. The Rangers were a tricky opponent, tying with Boswell 30-30 after a medical forfeit that fell to the deciding factor of Criteria F (or least amount of forfeits) to break, which gave Chisholm the win. Ainsley Suggs pinned her opponent and Blythe Cadenhead came back from being down 5-10 to earn a third and final victory for the night. Overall, it was an impressive display of control over the mat.
Saturday, February 1st, the Lady Pioneers travel to Keller High School for the District 2-6A tournament.
