The Lady Pioneers headed into round two of Bi-District on Friday, eager to turn the tide on their opponent who was up by one in the series. It was a pitcher's duel from inning one, Haley Malone taking command of the circle for six straight innings with only one walk and striking out a further three. However, the Lady Indians' pitcher was just as fierce. The combination of both girls' strength on the pitching front led the game into a war of attrition and ultimately led up to the single run Keller scored throughout the game cementing their win over Boswell. The Lady Pioneers certainly did not, however, make the Lady Indians' victory an easy one. No errors in the field and a series of solid hits from Lacey Neighbors and Addy Watson kept Keller scrambling for a vast majority of the game. All in all, it might not have been the outcome the girls wanted, but it was no less a fantastic display of the skills they had cultivated over the course of the season.
Great job, Lady Pioneers!
