The Pioneers traveled to Pennington Field to take on L.D. Bell on Friday, Oct. 14. Boswell claimed victory in an intense game with a final score of 20-13. This win moves the Pioneers to a 6-1 overall record and 3-1 in district play. The defense held Bell at bay with three fourth down stops and none bigger than on the 20-yard line in the final two minutes. Jack Fuller and Matthew Becker combined to make the play to end the Bell threat. Both led the defense with tackles, Fuller with 10, and Becker had 12. Henry Marvie had six tackles and Jaedon Langley was spectacular, especially in the second half with many tackles from behind.

The offense was sparked by Ezra Carter, scoring a touchdown and rushing for 140-yards. Sawyer Farr and Gavin Mathis connected on a Boswell record 92-yard pass and catch with Mathis outrunning the secondary to the pylon. Gage Ellis scored the game winning touchdown catch with a memorable sliding effort on third and goal from the 15-yard line. Farr finished with just under 200 yards. Special teams made the difference with several great efforts and pivotal punts that pushed the Blue Raiders back into their end of the field.

Boswell will host Weatherford on Senior Night Friday, Oct. 21. They will also honor the Fort Worth Football Officials on this Pink Out game! Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m. at Pioneer Stadium.
