On Homecoming night last Friday, Oct. 13, the Pioneers faced a nail-biting battle against L.D. Bell ultimately falling short with a final score of 29-27. The game showcased an intense back-and-forth struggle between the Pioneers and the Blue Raiders. Quarterback Tye Renfro threw for over 300 yards, with receivers Kairel Robertson and Dede Lords contributing 13 and 10 receptions, respectively. Robertson tallied 130 yards and a touchdown for the Pioneers. On the defensive front, the Pioneers forced the Blue Raiders to work hard for every yard, with Christian Lassiter and Justin McIntosh recovering fumbles. Linebacker Matthew Becker and defensive lineman Deecon Stewart both led the Pioneers in tackles, each with six tackles. The Pioneers are set to hit the road traveling to Weatherford on Friday, Oct. 20, for a game at 7:30 p.m.
