The Pioneers closed out the regular season with a victory over Chisholm Trail on Friday, Nov. 3 keeping the Saddle with a 55-24 win on Senior Night. Tye Renfro threw for 155 yards and added three rushing touchdowns. Colin Dixon rushed for 237 yards and two touchdowns on the night. The Pioneer offense totaled 555 yards. Defensively the Pioneers were led by Justin Fox with seven tackles. Matthew Becker recovered a fumble and Jeremiah Pierre had a highlight-reel interception and return. The Pioneers secured their playoff spot for the third consecutive year and their first under head coach Wes Weaver. The team placed fourth in District 3-6A with a record of 4-3. They will travel this Friday, Nov. 10 to take on Southlake Carroll in the first round of the playoffs. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. at Dragon Stadium.
