LADY PIONEERS TAKE FIRST ON SENIOR NIGHT

Lady Pioneers take first on Senior Night

Boswell Gymnastics hosted Chisholm Trail and Permian on Senior Night Jan. 19. The boys secured a third place finish with their highest team total despite facing several injuries. "Many gymnasts have had to step into roles earlier than expected. The heart of this team is the strongest I have seen in years," said Coach Averitte who commended the team's strength and adaptability. Top performers for the Pioneers included Beckett Willis, first on Vault with a 9.9, second on Rings, third on Floor and fourth on the Pommel Horse and All-Around. Tanner Snyder secured third on Horizontal Bar, fourth on Parallel Bars and fifth on Pommel Horse. Boswell earned the top three spots on Vault with Willis in first, Moises Hernandez in second and Seth Snyder in third.

On the girls side, the team secured an overall first place. Standout performances included Gia Valez in first on Vault and Balance Beam; McKinley Camacho was first in the All-Around with a first place finish on Bars and second place on Floor, Vault and Balance Beam. Katelyn Kirklin was second in the All-Around with first place on Floor and third on Bars and Vault. Emma Winchell was third in the All-Around and Balance Beam event and placed second on Bars.

Boswell Gymnastics prepares for the Southside Showdown at Rockwall Heath High School on Jan. 26, followed by their Alumni Night Meet at Boswell on Feb. 7.
