It was a big couple of days for the Pioneers last week, taking to their home field for the district track & field meet. Over the course of the two days, the guys and gals fought hard in a number of extremely close events. Combining the performances of all of the individuals, the girls, as a team, finished in 6th and the boys crossed the finish line in 7th. Among the participants, Kariel Robertson and Brooklyn Dotts were named District Champs in the Triple Jump and the 800m respectively. They are two in a long list of Area qualifiers who include:
- Jamal Napoleon in the 400m
- Brooklyn Dotts in the 3200m, 1600m, and 800m
- Tori Echols 400m and the 4x100
- Kariel Robertson in the Long Jump and Triple Jump
- Haleigh Jackson in the Triple Jump
- Emily Brister in the 4x100
- Addyson Handy in the 4x100
- Mariah Hammond in the 4x100
They will be taking part in the Area meet on Wednesday, April 9th, at Northwest High School.
