The Pioneers duked it out at Trinity last week against several skilled teams of gymnasts, including many of their district-mates. Over the course of two days, the boys in blue participated in a number of different events that tested the skills they have been honing over the course of the season. By the end of their optional events, the Pioneers had amassed a team score of 288.6 points and secured a 5th place finish overall. Among the individual performances, Becket Willis and Moises Hernandez snagged high enough scores to qualify for State in the All-Around and Vault respectively! Other accomplishments from the teammates include:

Pommel Horse - Beckett Willis (9th)
Rings - Becket Willis (7th)
Vault - Beckett Willis (2nd), Moises Hernandez (8th)
Parallel Bars - Beckett Willis (7th)
All-Around - Becket Willis (5th)
Willis and Hernandez head to Permain High School on Friday and Saturday, April 25th and 26th, for the climactic State meet.
