Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD Athletics is proud to announce Jeffrey Chatman as the new Head Girls Basketball Coach at Boswell High School. With an outstanding 14-year head coaching record of 362-134 and a reputation for building successful, high-character programs, Coach Chatman brings proven leadership and a passion for student-athlete development to the Pioneer community.

Coach Chatman comes to Boswell after successful stints at DeSoto and Steele High Schools, where he led his teams to consistent playoff appearances, including multiple Top 10 State finishes, eight District Championships, nine Regional Championships, and a 6A State Semi-Final appearance. He was recognized as the 2016 San Antonio Express News Coach of the Year and has earned numerous awards, including the 2022 TABC Texas Outstanding Coach of the Year. Chapman has coached over 40 collegiate athletes. His record of excellence extends beyond the basketball court, with years of experience coaching football, track, and serving in athletic coordinator roles.

“I am particularly drawn to Boswell because of its rich history of success in athletics and the supportive community that surrounds its program,” said Coach Chatman. “My goal is to create a program that not only excels in competition but also prioritizes the development of well-rounded individuals.”

Coach Chatman holds a B.A. in Communications and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Angelo State University, with a Principal Certification. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Instructional Technology from Liberty University.

His distinguished leadership and commitment to excellence are truly valued as we look forward to the positive impact he will have on the campus, all student-athletes, and the Lady Pioneer basketball program.
