Boswell pulled away from the Crowley Eagles in the second half to win 38-7 on Friday, Oct. 28. The Pioneers now sit at 7-2 overall and 4-2 in district. The story of the night was the Boswell defense. They held the Eagles to 100 total yards and three turnovers. Jack Fuller, the defensive player of the week had seven tackles and caused a fumble and an interception. Alex Rosales had six tackles. Jaedon Langley also had six tackles and two great stops behind the line of scrimmage for fourth down stops. Henry Marvie, a standout safety had four tackles, along with his counterpart Jadon Saysanam who also recovered a fumble. The defense stopped Crowley on four of their fourth down attempts.

The offense was led again by running back Ezra Carter. He scored twice and had two touchdowns. Julius Moore had one of the best catches of the year and led receivers with 44 yards. Sawyer Farr had a 6-yard touchdown. Zemar Taylor added a 2-yard score and Gavin Mathis hauled in a 13-yard pass from Sawyer to score. Eric Trejo made all five extra points and added a 13-yard field goal.

The Pioneers finish out the regular season against Chisholm Trail in the Battle for the Saddle on Friday, Nov. 4 at Ranger Stadium. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
