PIONEERS TAKE FOURTH AND SEVENTH AT DISTRICT

Pioneers take fourth and seventh at District

Boswell track and field competed in the District 3-6A Championships at Chisholm Trail on April 5-6. The varsity Lady Pioneers finished fourth out of eight teams. Lola Deane was the District Champion in the 3200m. Gracie Pineda and Brooklyn Dotts placed second and third place. Tori Echols qualified to Area in the 400m and 200m. Deane also finished second in the 800m and Dotts finished third overall. In the 1600m, Pineda earned herself a district championship title with Deane finishing as runner-up. Julissa Almodovar finished fourth.

The varsity boys team placed seventh overall. Aiden Hatcher was the District Champion in the pole vault. Kairel Robertson qualified to area in the triple jump. Noah Mobley qualified to the Area meet in high jump at his first varsity track meet.

The Area track meet will take place at Keller High School on April 11-12. Good luck Pioneers!
