In a thrilling game last Friday, Oct. 27 the Pioneers emerged victorious with a 36-28 win over the Crowley Eagles. Wide receiver Kairel Robertson led the Pioneers with 146 yards receiving and three touchdowns. The Pioneer defense allowed only 13 points in the second half and maintained a clean sheet in the fourth quarter. Linebacker Aaron Riley and safety J.J. Grant each intercepted a Crowley pass. Defensive end Jaedon Langley's critical stop of the Crowley quarterback on a fourth down late in the game solidified the Pioneers' win. Kicker Jack Garcia demonstrated accuracy nailing all three field goals, including a 40-yarder against the wind in the first quarter. The Pioneers will host Chisholm Trail for their last district game on Nov. 3. Kick-off for the Battle of the Saddle is set for 7:30 p.m.
