The Pioneers competed this weekend in the annual EMS ISD Wrestling Tournament at Chisholm Trail on Dec. 8-9. The boys team finished 17th out of 25 teams. Boswell had two silver medalists on the day. Junior Jeremiah Perez (126) placed second going 2-1 with one pin and senior Zach Hudson (132) also placed second going 3-1 with two major decision victories over his opponents. Another notable wrestler for the Pioneers was junior Owen Power (215). He was 2-2 on the day with two pins.

The Lady Pioneers acquired valuable experience and demonstrated strong performances on the wrestling mat. Dalayna Rainey, Blythe Cadenhead, Klarissa Espinosa, Chrissy Johnson, Breeanna Seevers, Amanda Lewis and Darleyska Cordaway all won matches, while Jocelyn Bilolo, Lily Cowan and Carlie Bleeker had multiple wins by pin.

Both teams will compete at the Boswell Quad on Saturday, Dec. 16 at Newcom Gymnasium.
