Pioneers place third and fourth at Ranger Invitational; Mackenzie Hill breaks another school record

Boswell track competed at the Ranger Invitational held on Friday, Mar. 22. The varsity girls team secured third place in the team division with a total of 99 points. Mackenzie Hill continued her remarkable streak by breaking the school's long jump record again with a leap of 19'6.5". Not stopping there, she achieved a personal best time of 11.70 seconds in the 100m dash. Brianna Estrada and Emily Burton finished second and third in the 100m. Julissa Almodovar claimed victory in the 800m dash, while Adalyn Lunsford earned gold in the 1600m. The girls 4x100m relay team clinched a gold medal.

On the varsity boys side, the team earned fourth place with 94 points. Kairel Robertson and Isaiah Murphy finished second and third in the triple jump. Aiden Hatcher soared to victory in the pole vault, achieving a personal best height of 14'0". Chris Lassiter finished second in the high jump, clearing 6 feet 2 inches. Randy Bush and Jamal Napoleon earned second and third in the 400m dash, while Juni Smith and Colin Dixon showcased their sprinting abilities finishing second and third in the 100m dash.
